Behind the Spoon

This blog started out as a way to make sense of what was happening in my own body. I’d been through years of weird symptoms—bloating, brain fog, a gut that couldn’t seem to make up its mind. Doctors shrugged. Diets made things worse. And at some point, standing in the kitchen at 2am stirring chia seeds like a weirdo, I realised food was the only thing that made me feel like I had even a little control.

So I started writing. Not because I had answers, but because I needed somewhere to put the questions.

This isn’t a wellness cult. I’m not selling you a ten-step morning routine or pretending turmeric cured my life. But I will tell you what’s worked for me, what hasn’t, and what made my gut stop doing backflips every time I ate a tomato.

Sometimes it’s just me here. Sometimes I pull in stories from my partner (who has strong opinions about soup) or friends who’ve tried weird health trends so I don’t have to. Other times I just rant into the void about how hard it is to find a decent gluten-free bread that doesn’t taste like cardboard and regret.

If you’re sick of the wellness noise but still care about how you feel—this space is for you. I’m not here to preach. I’m just here to share.
